Why sell on GetYourGuide?

GetYourGuide are a very large and very well funded reseller who put a lot of time and money into reaching their global customer base. Having your products listed with them should provide you with increased sales as well as brand credibility. Payments are direct and easy.

Visit the GetYourGuide registration page
Complete the application form and save
An email will then be sent to automatically with a link to confirm your application and access their supplier portal.
It can take up to 2 weeks for you to receive a reply from their onboarding team.
After confirming your application, you will be required to upload your company registration and your liability insurance. These documents are required for all suppliers on the GetYourGuide marketplace.
Once all steps above are completed you will then be able to manually build your products.

How long it takes

When you join GetYourGuide through their signup page, you are placed in a queue of suppliers and may have to wait up to 2 weeks for a response. Once your application is successful and you have created your products they will need to be approved by their content editing team before going live, this may vary in time depending on the number of tours you have and how complete your information is.

Add your product content to Magpie and share it with resellers worldwide including exporting from Magpie directly into the GetYourGuide supplier platform.

How much commission you pay

Your commission level is agreed upon with your Account Manager prior to loading your products on the site. In general you can expect to pay 20-35% in commission

How you get paid

GetYourGuide makes automatic bank transfers for successful trips. You can choose whether to be paid once or twice per month.

Once per month: Payment is made on the 5th of every calendar month or the first following business day.

Twice per month: Payments are made on the 5th and 20th of every calendar month or the first following business days, respectively. By selecting this option, you consent to Get Your Guide to increase your commission rate by 2 percent on subsequent bookings.

Magpie Opinion

Pros: GetYourGuide is one of the most popular and biggest brands out there when it comes to selling tours and activities.

Cons: Their platform is self service so after completing the sign up process is when the majority of the work begins. You will need to create and manage each product manually in their extranet system which can be very labor intensive. Their quality checks add additional time to your product going live compared to other marketplace OTAs.
