We’ve written blogs on it, recorded videos on it but we thought we would have something a bit more in depth and official out there for people who like that kind of thing. Google Things to do is expanding all the time and is taking up quite a lot of screen real estate on Google search results for tour and activity related search terms. In this white paper we break down all of the different places your products can be displayed and how to do it. Click on the image below to get your copy.

4. Viator – Changes at the top

After 12 years at Tripadvisor and four years as president of Viator, Ben Drew announced Tuesday he has made the “difficult decision” to step down.

“Through the four toughest years of my career, I was honored to stand alongside the team at Viator,” Drew wrote on LinkedIn, calling his time there “the journey of a lifetime.”. Read more on this article on Phocuswire (https://www.phocuswire.com/ben-drew-viator-president-leaving-tripadvisor)

Obviously, Ben has spoken to the new yet-to-be announced Privity Equity owners of Tripadvisor, and he didn’t like their dastardly plans. Alternatively, somebody recognised his recent success and he’s off to work for some cool AI company to change the world. Both options are purely speculative and completely baseless.
Whatever is next, we wish Ben the best of luck.

6. Tripadvisor blocks 2 million Fake Reviews

This is clearly good news and bad news. 6.3% of reviews were blocked, up over 50% from 2022. Credible reviews are such a critical part of the travel industry – it’s surely only going to get easier to generate fake reviews. Lets just hope that the tools to catch them out can keep up.
